Rich Hackman

Actor | Musician | Producer

I am a Ghanaian-American actor, musician, host & podcast producer.

My journey to becoming a media personality began in 2003 after winning the California state championship in Oratorical Interpretation for my performance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Drum Major Instinct.”

My passion for performance soon evolved into a love for theatre, film, and television. I trained at Proverbial Studios as Assistant Director on the short film You Want Love (2006) , and interned at a local Pennsylvania television station (WTVE).

Not one to limit myself, I joined the Domino Players Theatre Company in Reading, PA where I stage-managed, directed shows, apprenticed in the design shop building sets, rigging stage lights and drapes, as well as managing the control booth and front of house. I auditioned and acted frequently in productions, and studied Opera and Musical Theatre under the tutelage of Grammy Nominee Jeffrey Lentz.

Later on I founded a small media company called The Bored Brand and partnered with La Pirata Productions based in New York City to produce and shoot the short film Fateful Chance (2019).

Most recently, in addition to making music, gracing the camera and the stage I have been developing two limited series podcasts, Lessons in Being Human, and Happy Hour with Friends.
